From time to time I teach basketry skills at Willow Works in Onekaka for both beginners and for those with some experience. I also run the occasional sculpture fun day, which gives us a chance to get creative and explore the medium of willow.
Participants will get to grips with basic basketry techniques, take a peek into the willow industry and learn something about the growing and processing. They get to take home something beautiful, strong and environmentally friendly which they have had fun making.
